Why
Pepperdine?
Pepperdine
University and The Graziadio School are reflections of the entrepreneurial
spirit of founder George Pepperdine and business school benefactor
George Graziadio. Established in 1937, Pepperdine is an independent,
private university enrolling approximately 8,000 students in five
colleges and schools-each combining academic excellence with a strong
emphasis on values. The main campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean
in Malibu, California, about 35 miles northwest of downtown Los
Angeles. Click

The
School of Business and Management, established in 1969, is known
as a pioneer in executive MBA education, developing its reputation
by its practical approach to teaching theory grounded in real-world
application. The full-time MBA and Master of International Business
(MIB) programs enroll an elite group of students each year. In addition,
mid-career professionals participate in selective evening and executive
programs offered at six education centers in California. Pepperdine
was the first to offer an MBA program designed exclusively for senior
management, the Presidential/Key Executive MBA. The school is now
one of the largest business schools in the nation. It was endowed
in 1996 and named The George L. Graziadio School of Business and
Management. Click

An
Outstanding Faculty
The
Graziadio School boasts outstanding, dedicated faculty with an impressive
record of achievements. The same professors who teach in the full-time
programs also teach top executives in the Executive MBA and Presidential/Key
Executive MBA programs. The progressive, forward-thinking, values
centered approach of the faculty has captured the attention as well
as the hearts of loyal students. Faculty are chosen for their significant
experience in the business world as well as their strong academic
credentials. Virtually all faculty members hold doctoral degrees
and remain active in the business community, working as key executives
or consultants around the world and serving on a variety of advisory
boards. Their management experience affords them a clear understanding
of the preparation not only expected, but demanded of graduates
who will practice in a global environment. Click

The
Alumni Global Network
As
one of the largest business schools in the country, Pepperdine has
the kind of name recognition and alumni network that benefits students.
The link between Pepperdine and the business community is especially
strong. The Graziadio School network - more than 24,000 alumni of
the full-time, professional, and executive programs - includes 1,700
who are leading organizations worldwide as vice presidents, presidents,
and CEOs. Click

There
are many opportunities for MBA graduates to continue their relationship
with Pepperdine. Activities include alumni breakfasts throughout
Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties, guest lectures by distinguished
leaders in the business community, and international trips led by
faculty for current students and alumni. Networking events are scheduled
by Pepperdine alumni with chapters in cities from Los Angeles to
Dallas, to New York City, to Hong Kong. Click

MBA
students may join the Management Partners alumni group, entitling
them to attend a series of receptions called "From the Boardroom."
Southern California business leaders host these events at their
corporate headquarters, informing attendees of recent company developments.

An
Ethical Emphasis
Challenging
students to develop social resposibility and personal awareness
is one way to ensure the quality of public and private leadership.
The Graziadio School is committed to teaching the values of social
concern and service. While the study of ethics is incorporated into
a number of classes, the development of character and ethical standards
can be achieved only through experience and a conscious effort to
examine the social and economic impact of business activities. In
a time when altruistic ideals and civic interest seem to have given
way to power goals and heightened interest in materialism, The Graziadio
School presents a holistic approach to personal and professional
growth. Click
